Charlottesville native David McCormick is an experienced educator and performer committed to bringing high-quality musical experiences to his students and audiences. As a teenager, David was concertmaster of both the Charlottesville High School Orchestra and the Youth Orchestra of Charlottesville-Albemarle. David has degrees in music education and performance from Shenandoah University and Case Western Reserve University, including specialized training in chamber music and historical performance. David has performed all over the world, including a European tour as a member of the Blue Ridge String Quartet. As a member of the Viandante Quartet, he was awarded top honors in the Virginia Music Teachers Associated chamber music competition, and in 2008 made his professional solo debut, performing "Autumn" from Vivaldi's Four Seasons with Prince William Baroque. David is co-founder of Three Notch'd Road: The Charlottesville Baroque Ensemble. |

Christine Willard grew up in the Charlottesville area, performing with the award-winning band and orchestra programs in the area. She graduated with honors from James Madison University with a degree in Music Education. While at JMU Christie was principal flutist with the orchestra, concert band and flute ensemble. She won a regional concerto competition in her senior year and performed with the Virginia Beach Symphony Orchestra. Christie currently operates her own music studio teaching a variety of instruments, and conducts master classes in the area. She has also performed with local community theater productions and is a member of the Charlottesville Municipal Band. |

Laura Mulligan Thomas has an undergraduate degree from James Madison University and a masters' degree in conducting from Shenandoah University. She has directed the Charlottesville High School Orchestra since 1982. She also serves as Chair of the Fine Arts at Charlottesville High School and conducted the University of Richmond Orchestra for three years. During her professional career she has won several awards including Charlottesville's Distinguished Teacher Award, the Piedmont Council of the Arts Award, and Outstanding Educator in Central Virginia by Phi Beta Kappa. Ms. Thomas and her three siblings perform as the Mulligan String Quartet. |
